Yuxian Sun is a doctoral student in the Department of Communication and Media at City University of Hong Kong. She holds an MPH in Biostatistics from Emory University, and a B.Econ. in Financial Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing. After completing her master’s, she worked as a public health researcher at Beijing Chest Hospital, Capital Medical University.
Her current research interests lie at the intersection of public health, digital health, and health communication, focusing on how individuals engage with health information and technologies in digitally mediated environments—particularly the psychological and communicative mechanisms underlying health technology adoption and use—to inform more user-centered digital health interventions.
