
Dandan Wang is a doctoral student in the Department of Communication and Media at City University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining CityUHK, she obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication from the School of Journalism and Communication at Renmin University of China. Her research interests lie in the intersection between health communication and interaction with technology, with particular attention to the interaction mechanisms between users (especially the older adults) and emerging health technologies. Her research focuses include: (1) psychological and cognitive mechanisms and behavioral change patterns in health technology adoption processes; (2) communication effects and influencing factors of digital health interventions; (3) differentiated needs and adaptability of diverse populations in health technology usage.
Dandan is committed to employing mixed-methods research approaches, integrating communication theories with behavioral science perspectives, to explore how to promote public health.
